 The Public Affairs Department helps
develop, communicate, and encourage relationships between the Phoenix VA Health
Care System and our area's communities. This occurs through a
variety of mechanisms including both one way and two way communications, special
events, media relations, congressional relations and other internal and external
communication venues.
Our public affairs goals are
established each year through the use of our Public Affairs Strategic Plan,
where we conduct opinion polling to determine our results. The plan has served
us well and through it we have created improvements with many of our publics.
