I’m interested in a position. Now what?

The Phoenix VA Health Care System constantly recruits for a variety of positions through the USAJobs website. Open positions throughout the health care system are updated regularly.

We are holding a hiring event focusing on entry-level positions open to Veterans and non-Veterans in both our housekeeping and food service departments. The next window of recruitments for those positions opens July 16 and ends July 26.

Because the USAJobs online application process can be daunting, the Phoenix VA is hosting special recruitment sessions beginning July 16. Our human resources specialists will be at the Arizona @ Work offices throughout the Valley to help people interested with the application process.

Come work with the Phoenix VA’s HR staff at:

  • Monday July 16, from 9 a.m. to noon, at 3406 N. 51st Ave, Phoenix.
  • Wednesday July 18, from 10 a.m. to noon, at 1840 N. 95th Ave., Suite 160, Phoenix.
  • Thursday July 19, from 9 a.m. to noon, at 9801 N. 7th St., Phoenix.
  • Friday July 20, from 10 a.m. to noon, at 120 W. 1st Ave., Mesa.

Additionally, we’re extending an open invitation for interested candidates to attend our “Friends and Family” recruitment session at the Phoenix VA. The event takes place from 8 a.m. to noon, Monday July 23, at the Phoenix VA at 650 E. Indian School Rd., Phoenix. The event will be in the basement conference rooms.

Interested candidates who attend one of these sessions should bring a copy of their résumé, complete with a working email address and phone number. Since most staffing communication is done through email, candidates should make sure they can access the email address listed on their résumé. Depending on resources available at the site, it might be necessary for candidates to scan and email their résumé to themselves or build their résumé in USAJobs to facilitate the application process.
